Learn How You Can Get Scammed By The Companies Like Cars24 To Sell Your Car Online - Cars24 Reviews

All of us sell our old car several times, sometimes it can be because you wanted to buy new car? or you may need the money. Few years ago there were only few options to sell your car, whether you can post your ad on the classifieds ad posting sites like OLX or whether you contact with any of your nearby car dealer. But nowadays, there are several options to sell your car even you can get the instant cash in only 1 or 2 days by contacting some of the online used car marketplace companies like Cars24, CarDekho, Gaadi.Com etc.

Companies like Cars24 has a simple process, where you'll have to contact them with your used car info and they'll ask you to visit their office for evaluation. They usually will give you the estimate price quote of your car right away when you contact them but after that they ask you to evaluate your car by visiting their store. After the evaluation, they'll give you the price offer and if you like the offer? you can visit them again and within 1-2 hours they give you the cash instantly. That means, you don't need to first post classifieds, talk with several buyers and sometimes people only come to see but they don't buy due to some reasons. So, of course these companies save your lot of time and help you sell your car within 2-3 days.

But do you know, you can easily get scammed by these companies? It's important to understand how these companies works. First you'll have to visit their company website where you can enter your car details like model, year, KM, expected price etc. They instantly give you the estimated price, after that they'll give you the token money if you agree with the price (Sometimes they give you the token money before inspection and sometimes they give token money after the inspection). Then you'll have to visit their store for the evaluation where they completely inspect your car. After the inspection, they'll give you the exact price quote and if you like the offer? You can instantly sell your car even if you've active loan on your car. During the selling process, they'll first pay to your bank and then they'll transfer the money to you and the deal is closed.

It's not confirmed of how they sell your car to next party, of course they're not buying your car for the company. After buying your car, they'll sell it to other party and they said they've marketplace where they've thousands of buyer who directly buy car from them. The less price they offer you, the more they can make the profit for their company. It's not like the random car dealer, who buy your car, spend some money on it and then sell to a third party person.

THE SCAM YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF: By Companies Like Cars24

There's a missing part in the whole deal, where you get scammed by these companies like Cars24. Recently, I was selling my Maruti Baleno car to Cars24 where I learn more about their process or we can say 'how they can scam people'. I visited Cars24 website where I provided my car details and they gave me a online quote price of between 4.76 lakh to 5.50 lakhs. I was very happy to see that price, it was like I am selling my car to the direct buyer not the company. After that they asked me to visit their store for inspection, I was expecting that I can get the offer price of around 5 lakh because they gave me the estimate quote of between 4.76 lakh to 5.50 lakhs but I was shocked the actual price offer they gave me. The company gave me a offer price of only 4.20 Lakhs (This is where the scam comes in), I mean I asked them that the estimated quote price was minimum 4.76 to maximum 5.50 Lakhs so how they can offer me such lower price then the estimate they gave me? They explain some of their useless excuses like that was a online estimate provided by their bots on website, I mean then why they're using some bot to provide estimate price if you can't keep it? I denied the offer and said I'll find another buyer or company but after getting several calls, they gave me a offer of 4.70 Lakhs.

See the difference? Not just 5000 or 10000 but directly 50000 INR of price difference that means they were trying to sell me out. Basically, they observe the people during the whole deal and if you need money at urgent basis? they'll definitely scam you as because you need the money and they can give you that in 1 or 2 days. Then, I agreed with their given price of 4.70 lakhs and went to their store for paperwork. Signing the transfer and other papers, they confirmed the token and gave me 1000 INR of token money and also said that if I don't sell my car to their company? I'll have to return their token money 5x more, that means if I don't sell my car to them? I'll have to refund them 6000 INR.

After the inspection and token confirmation, I visited their store next day to handover my car and sign the final papers, where first they were going to foreclose my car loan and said I'll get my payment within 24-48 hours. But during the handover they decrease the price once again, they said they can now give me 4.46 Lakhs instead of 4.70 Lakhs. I wasn't agree with that price and I deny their offer even they asked me to refund their token amount, after wasting my several days, time and money.

The Scam:

This is how companies like Cars24 scam you, if you need to sell your car. First they'll give you the great price so you can visit their store for inspection. After that they'll retain you to sell your car on the price of their choice. Somehow, you'll agree with their given price and they'll give you the token money. When you'll go to their store to handover your car, they'll again decrease the price of your car. If you still agree with their lowest price then it'll fine for the company but if you don't? Then, you'll have to refund their token money including the 5x of charges.
